With the JANOVA upgrade, you can transform a normal table tennis bat into a smart racket and train via app.
Have you ever heard of smart table tennis bats? If not, you should definitely take a look at JANOVA.
The guys from JANOVA have developed the world’s first smart table tennis bats . A sensor is built into the racket handle that can measure factors such as speed, type of shot, etc. very precisely. You can connect your club to your smartphone and read out all the data via the app. You can also play lots of training exercises and compete against friends and teammates.

JANOVA offers its own table tennis bats with sensor, but also a retrofit upgrade of existing table tennis bats. This means that players can simply send their racket to JANOVA and the sensor is built into the handle.
And that’s exactly what we do here in our workshop.
JANOVA sends us the rackets and we install the upgrade. This is a really great thing, because you can turn even a very old blade into a smart table tennis bat.
And the great thing is: you can now also order your SOULSPIN blade with sensor and train with the JANOVA app!
Smart SOULSPIN rackets with JANOVA upgrade
Two ways to order a smart SOULSPIN racket:
- you already have a table tennis blade that you would like to upgrade (also applies to other brands)
- you would like to order a new SOULSPIN blade to be built directly as a smart table tennis blade
Option 1: upgrade an existing table tennis bat
You can easily order the upgrade for your existing table tennis bat in the JANOVA store. Please check first, if this option is available for your country. This is possible for TT blades of all brands.
After your order has been processed, JANOVA will send you a shipping box. You can use this to send your racket to us. (Please check, if this option is available for your country) We install the sensor in the racket handle and send the finished blade back to you. Your table tennis bat is then smart and you can use all the functions of the JANOVA app.
Please note the conditions and requirements that JANOVA specifies for upgrading your racket.
Option 2: order a new SOULSPIN blade as a Smart Racket
You can choose the table tennis bat you want in our store or customize it yourself in the configurator. Additionally please purchase the ADD ON JANOVA Smart Racket Upgrade. We build your new SOULSPIN blade including JANOVA sensor within approx. 14 working days.
Your smart table tennis bat is ready to use straight away via the app.
What exactly can the JANOVA app do?
You can download the JANOVA app free of charge from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
In the app you will find countless training videos and exercises such as
– serve and return
– Falkenberg exercise
– placement exercises etc.
Everything is explained to you step by step by trainer Katharina Michajlova. You can individually customize your training and set your own priorities. The app helps you to improve your technique and you can track your development precisely.
Anyone who wants to can share their training times, progress etc. publicly in their profile and challenge friends or teammates.
