Our story: <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>And what a white bread has to do with the development of table tennis bats <\/span><\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Schneider has been developing table tennis bats for various brands around the world since the 1970s. SOULSPIN has been producing handmade table tennis rackets in Neuwied close to the beautiful Rhine since 2012.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The creative mind behind SOULSPIN<\/strong> is Michael Schneider – with around 54 years of experience<\/strong> in the construction of table tennis bats, he is one of the absolute experts<\/strong> in this field and it all started with a white bread…<\/p>\n<\/div>

Why white bread<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the 1960s in a bakery in Koblenz:Michael works for a baker early in the morning before school and delivers bread rolls by bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No net, but plenty of white bread<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There he met Manni, a table tennis player, and the first matches were quickly played during the breaks. As there was no net, they had to use a loaf of white bread. Improvisation is everything.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passion was quickly awakened and so he started already 2 weeks later at the Koblenz student championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From hobby to profession<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From then on, it was clear that this sport would become his profession. After completing his apprenticeship as a model carpenter, he began to develop his first table tennis rackets – with no idea where his journey would take him. Today, he is THE expert on table tennis bats and a walking table tennis encyclopedia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the 1970s, he began to set up his first own production facility with a small table tennis store in Neuwied. At the beginning of the 1990s, he was approached by a Chinese manufacturer of table tennis rackets and hired as a developer. Together, they are building the world’s largest production facility for table tennis bats and produce high-quality blades for all table tennis brands around the world. To this day, Michael is still regularly in China and works on development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A small family business revolutionizes the table tennis world<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the 2000s he starts to build up a production in Neuwied for rubber adhesives. In the meantime the next generation, Claudia and Lukas, have entered production. The company is growing and the idea to develop an own, and above all very special, series of table tennis blades is born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OUR IDEA<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Every table tennis player should be able to customise<\/strong> their own table tennis blade – exactly as they need it”<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

So we started in 2010 with the mission to change the world of table tennis<\/strong> and bring it into the digital age. Our customers should be able to customize<\/strong> their racket to their individual<\/strong> needs and thus configure their perfect table tennis blade.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After several months of development work, planning, CAD programming, a lot of sweat and hundreds of test runs, we launched SOULSPIN in 2012<\/strong>. And so the first and only configurator for table tennis rackets<\/a><\/strong> in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, we have been building the perfect table tennis blades for table tennis players from all corners of the<\/strong> world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
