The Defensive Control<\/strong> is a light and relatively soft defensive blade<\/strong> that we have developed especially for defensive players<\/strong>. In the defensive blade size DEF it can be played as a classic defensive blade<\/strong> – but in the smaller blade sizes it is also ideal for players who do not see themselves as defensive players but are looking for a light and relatively soft table tennis blade<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT CHARACTERISTICS MUST A GOOD DEFENSIVE BLADE HAVE?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The most important characteristics for defensive play are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– HIGH CONTROL VALUES– LONG BALL CONTACT TIMES– MODERATE TEMPO– LARGE SWEETSPOT <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A good defensive blade<\/strong> should be easy to control without losing too much speed. That’s why we opted for a combination of a KIRI core veneer with particularly thick outer veneers made of FIR. The thick KIRI core provides the necessary speed, while the spruce makes the blade particularly soft and sensitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We only use saw-cut veneers that we produce and select ourselves from high mountain spruce – this wood is particularly tough and very soft, which ensures long ball contact times. This allows the ball to be guided particularly safely and played with a lot of spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The thick spruce outer plies make the wood extremely soft, resulting in a particularly long contact time with the ball. The longer the contact time, the more spin the rebound gets and the safer the ball can be placed. The Kiri core veneer gives the blade the necessary basic speed, so you can attack in a targeted manner despite a defensive style of play.” <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
