Description
Roots 8 offensive blade with synthetic fibre for rotation-rich play
Fast offensive blade with the high-tech synthetic fibre Z-Carbon. The special carbon-mixture makes the blade very hard, but still remains elastic. The spruce outer veneers ensure a soft ball bounce and good control values.
It is especially suitable for players who want to play rotation-rich topspins, even far away from the table. It has a good basic speed, but still a soft ball stroke with a lot of feeling.
So that the blade is not too hard and therefore difficult to control, we have placed the Z-Carbon layer between the core veneer and the middle layer. The soft top layers of Spruce and Ayous ensure a soft ball stroke. The synthetic fibres stiffen the blade and thus ensure short ball contact times and high bounce speed.
The handle
The ROOTS 8 has a flared handle with a length of 100mm. The thick handle K2 B on the backhand fills the inside of the hand wonderfully, so that the handle lies securely and firmly in the hand.
This blade tends to be slightly top-heavy, which is particularly effective when playing topspins. If you want to counteract this, you can control the balance of your blade in the configurator by choosing a heavier type of handle material or by adjusting the handle length.
WHAT ARE THE PLAYING CHARACTERISTICS Z-CARBON?
- high speed, slightly faster than the BASALT
- large sweet spot
- relatively soft ball stop
- hard, but nevertheless elastic veneer combination
- not as stiff as pure carbon blades
