CHINESE PENHOLDER FOR DEFENSIVE GAME STYLE

The DEFENSIVE CONTROL is a defensive penholder blade for the classic defender. It has a solid basic speed and plays relatively softly so that the balls are guided safely and controlled. Like all our penholder blades it has a slightly egg-shaped blade in the typical penholder shape. The Chinese penholder grip has a length of about 82mm.

A defensive penholder is easy to control without losing too much speed. That’s why we chose a combination of a KIRI core veneer with extra thick SPRUCE outer veneers. The thick KIRI core provides the necessary speed, while the SPRUCE makes the blade particularly soft and sensitive.

We use only self-made and selected saw veneers from high mountain Spruce – this wood is particularly tough and very elastic, which ensures long ball contact times. This ensures that the ball is guided very safely and played with a lot of spin.

The thick Spruce outer layers make the blade extremely elastic, resulting in a particularly long contact time with the ball. The longer the contact time, the more spin the backstroke gets and the safer you place the balls. The Kiri core veneer gives the blade the necessary basic speed. So you can attack in spite of defensive play style purposefully.
